The Douglas C. Chamberlain Leadership Award

Franciscan Children’s would like to recognize Doug Chamberlain for his remarkable service to Franciscan Children’s and the children and families we serve with the creation of The Douglas C. Chamberlain Leadership Award. Mr. Chamberlain has been a fixture at Franciscan Children’s since he joined the Board of Directors in 1987, serving both as Board Chair and Clerk of the Corporation during his three decades of service. His compassionate leadership has brought Franciscan Children’s through financial challenges and operational innovations to adapt to the changing healthcare landscape. He has inspired local leaders to join his efforts to support the mission Franciscan Children’s carries out each day. It is an honor to name this award in recognition of Mr. Chamberlain’s leadership and dedication to the children and families Franciscan Children’s serves.

The Douglas C. Chamberlain Leadership Award will be given on an annual basis in honor of a member of the community who has contributed significantly to Franciscan Children’s as a way to advance our organization. The recommendation for who should receive the award will be made by the Advancement and Marketing departments, the CEO, and the Board Chair.  The award will be presented at a special event attended by our donors, supporters, and community partners. The inaugural award will be given to Ted English in recognition for his support of Franciscan Children’s, at a time to be determined at a later date.  The creation of this award is an expression of the gratitude that all patients, families, staff, and leadership feel for Mr. Chamberlain’s many years of service. We look forward to recognizing supporters who embody Mr. Chamberlain’s service to Franciscan Children’s.
