Appleton Partners Adds Municipal Investment Professionals

Oana Bandar, CFA and Tristan Lau Join Appleton’s Municipal Team

BOSTON (June 10, 2024) – Appleton Partners, Inc., a privately-owned and operated investment advisor based in Boston, MA with $12.7 billion under management1 announced today the addition of two fixed income investment professionals.

Oana Bandar, CFA, is assuming the role of Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Trader. She brings extensive experience managing and trading national and state-specific tax-exempt bond portfolios, most recently with BNY Mellon Private Wealth Management. Oana will report to Whitney Fitts, CFA, Head of Municipal Portfolio Management.

Tristan Lau is joining Appleton Partners as Municipal Research Analyst reporting to Nate Harris, CFA, Director of Municipal Research. He comes to Appleton from T. Rowe Price where he undertook credit research of general obligation, public power, water & sewer, and higher education bond issuers.

Anson Clough, CFA, Managing Director of Fixed Income, noted that “the additions of Oana and Tristan strengthen an already deep municipal team at a time when our separately managed account business is growing. They will bring fresh credit research, market, and portfolio management insight, adding to the resources and expertise that we are able to offer our clients and partners.”
