Role at Appleton
Anson is Managing Director of Appleton’s Fixed Income Department with oversight responsibility for Portfolio Management, Trading and Research. He is a co-head of the Fixed Income Investment Committee which is critical in determining the firm’s yield curve management. Anson also plays a key role working with the firm’s Portfolio Managers and Research teams in guiding portfolio strategies, municipal research and other aspects of the investment process.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Appleton in 2000, Anson was a Vice President at Scudder Kemper Investments where for the prior seven years he was a Senior Municipal Credit Analyst focusing on the investment grade municipal bond universe. He is a CFA® charterholder, and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analyst Society. Anson also holds the CFP® certification.

Anson resides in Marblehead with his wife and two children. When he is not watching his kids on the football, basketball or lacrosse field, Anson and his family can be found on the water enjoying the ocean in Marblehead, or up on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Anson is an avid cyclist, and enjoys golf, boating and exploring the outdoors.
