Role at Appleton
Jim is Head of Municipal Trading in Appleton’s Fixed Income Department. In addition to oversight of the municipal trading team, he is responsible for trading and portfolio management & analytics, focusing mainly on the Intermediate Municipal product. Jim is also a member of the Fixed Income Research Team and the Fixed Income Investment Committee.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Appleton in 2004, Jim worked as an account controller at the State Street Corporation. Jim is a CFA® charterholder, and a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Municipal Analyst Forum.

Jim lives in Holliston, MA with his wife and two children. He enjoys basketball and golf, as well as coaching his children’s youth sports teams.
