Jason joined the firm as a research analyst in 2013. In his analyst role, he spearheads the fundamental research that drives portfolio decisions for Appleton’s various equity strategies. Jason’s other activities include contributing to Appleton’s taxable fixed income research efforts and helping to manage client relationships.

Professional Experience
Jason was formerly a principal with Hercules Capital, where he led direct debt and equity investments in venture and emerging growth stage companies. He began his career in finance as an investment banking analyst and associate for Piper Jaffray. He is a CFA® charterholder.

Personal Notes
When he is not chasing his two sons around, Jason enjoys exercising (he tries to run several competitive races a year) and spending time on Cape Cod. Jason and his family live in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston.
