Role at Appleton
Whitney is Head of Municipal Portfolio Management in Appleton’s Fixed Income Department. In addition to the oversight of the municipal portfolio management team, she is responsible for trading, portfolio management and analyzing portfolio structure in support of the firm’s Municipal Bond products. Additionally, she oversees the initial portfolio restructuring effort when new accounts are opened with existing bonds. Whitney is also a member of the Fixed Income Research Team and the Fixed Income Investment Committee.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Appleton in 2003, Whitney held various positions with the Trustees of Reservations. Whitney is a CFA® charterholder. She is also a member of the CFA Institute, National Federation of Municipal Analysts, and the Boston Municipal Analyst Forum.

Whitney lives with her husband and two daughters in Dedham, MA. She is actively involved in her community serving as Director of the Dedham Girls Lacrosse Program and as a member of the Dedham Youth Hockey board. She enjoys coaching her daughters’ teams, traveling and outdoor adventures with her family.
